Proposals Engineer Utilities (East Midlands) £30,000
We are looking for highly motivated, technology orientated candidates who can move forward with this ever expanding client in this exciting expanding market sector.
We are looking for a Proposals Engineer to join a Sales Team to work on the tendering aspect of Product streams along with other diverse projects. As part of your principal duties, you will read and understand tender document specifications, carry out preliminary design calculation, manage price information collection, and prepare pretender submissions, calling on the services of other engineers or key item suppliers as required. As necessary, you will attend site meetings with clients, clarify / qualify tender submissions, prepare contract handover and attend handover meetings. You will be required to maintain customer and supplier databases, to keep files on competitive / alternative systems.
You will have good communication skills enabling you to handle customer sales enquiries by telephone and follow up on quotation submission. Most of all you will work as part of a team and as such be enthusiastic with a good attitude and interpersonal skills, and have a positive influence on the development of commercial proposals, working with an industry leader in the field. Ideally you will be goal orientated, and working towards Chartership through IChemE, CIWEM or another relevant professional body.
