Job Description
Design Draughtsman The client is currently recruiting for a CAD Draughtsman to work within the Projects Teams on layouts for pipework and other associated piping. The key responsibilities of this role include: Responsible for the production of designs, drawings and assisting the teams with procurement, and project progression. Production of technically correct and dimensionally accurate designs utilising 3D & 2D CAD packages to meet the Project team's targets. Working as part of the Projects team to ensure the designs are produced in compliance with the contract specifications and that they are optimised in terms of cost, quality, manufacturability, delivery and function. Preparation and issuing of enquiries and operating as part of the procurement adjudication team including the placement of orders were necessary and the expediting of component deliveries. Technical liaison with subcontractors together with progress inspections where necessary. Attending meetings at site with the client, carrying out site reviews and dimensional checks together with the production of 'As built' drawings from measurements. You will be expected to possess 3D & 2D CAD, solidworks, MS Word and Excel skills. Ideally you will have a process engineering or water related engineering degree. This is an immediate permanent requirement and candidates are expected to enclosed a full cv together with availability, current salary and reason for leaving current position.
