Estimator (Rail) East Sussex Permanent
The client is a well known and established Rail and general building contractor based in East Sussex with a satellite office based in London.
Due to an increase in work load, they are now looking for an Experienced Estimator to join the existing team.
The ideal applicant will have 5 - 7 years or more experience working as an Estimator working within construction. Rail experience preferred but not essential.
Key Responsibilities
Manage daily and annually appraise direct reporting staff
Manage and develop supply chain
Complete take offs
Carry out desk top pricing
Arrange and carry out site visits
Liaise with clients pre and post tender
Develop and implement business reporting
Develop and implement estimating systems
Attend monthly management meetings and report estimating progress
Liaise with Commercial team
Produce handover documentation
Draft pre-contract programmes and Method Statements
Due to the above, we are only looking for candidates that have a proven commercial background as an Estimator within a Rail or civils environment.
