The Delivery Manager has responsibility for the successful execution of one or more project(s). The individual must possess a combination of skills including an ability to challenge and detect unstated assumptions and resolve interpersonal conflicts as well as more systematic management skills.
The Delivery Manager will have a good working understanding of the relevant Contract Terms and Conditions.
The Delivery Manager shall take the role of leader of a team and shall take the responsibility for giving direction in an open and positive manner with regard to the project goals, risks and decision making.
The Delivery Manager shall ensure that the Project Manager is aware of any variance to the budget.
The Delivery Manager will take a lead role in forward planning of resources and monitor on a daily basis against the plan.
The Delivery Manager shall, through appropriate regular and meaningful communication with all relevant interested parties in the delivery of the projects, maintain an up to date knowledge of the status of the projects and take appropriate action to maintain the projects within there constraints as set by the company in its agreements with its Client.
The Delivery Manager shall successfully deliver any projects under their management with regard to their responsibilities for Safety, Health, Environment and Quality.
The individual
The successful candidate would ideally have LUL experience, though not essential.
They must be solution focused; self motivated, proactive and ideally have a proven track record in working within a partnership/alliance type of contract.
Management of people will be a critical factor within this role and the candidate should be able to demonstrate a proved track record of this.
