Job Description

Commercial Manager London

We are currently looking to expand our Rail Plant Commercial Team by appointing an experienced Commercial Manager to support a number of high profile contracts & projects.

Requirements

Educated to degree or HND/HNC level.
A minimum of 5 years experience working in a contracting/commercial department.
Rail Industry knowledge would be an advantage
Knowledge of and ability to interpret contract conditions
Excellent communication skills- able to form strong working relationships with both colleagues and customers at all levels
Strong IT skills
Flexible approach and able to handle multiple priorities

Responsibilities

· Review, understand and implement contract control mechanisms

· Develop an understanding of commercial risks associated with contracts and implement & monitor control measures

· Produce management information associated with contract delivery

· Ensure commercial control of sub-contractors / suppliers

· Work closely with operations & maintenance teams to ensure service delivery is above contractual thresholds

· Compilation of application for payment data and management of payments

· Agreement of variations

· Financial reporting

· Lead tendering activities

- Manage customer interactions and negotiations ensuring positive and timely outcomes
